This one of a kind mini pipe has been crafted from manzanita that had died and cut down for wildfire prevention.
Measures 3 1/2" Long x 1" Wide x 1" thick and a 5/8" bowl set @ 1/2" deep that has been hand charred to burn away the natural wood resins for a clean smoke. An 1/8" smoking chamber compliments this piece for a slower and cool smooth draw.
Manzanita is a tree that grows all around southern California and is so exotic it is protected by federal law and is illegal to cut it down without proper permission from either land owners or state and federal officials.
Manzanita wood is also a very hard and dense wood so it holds the heat well and is a great wood for crafting long lasting pipes out of it.
Unique and natural live edge exterior wood grain and natural wood knots have been left in its original form in this cut of wood and incorporated into the style of this pipe for a complete organic and rustic look and feel.
The rest of the pipe has been hancarved to a comfortable free form shape exposing and highlighting the signature exotic wood grain striations.
A great pocket pipe to show off and take along on travels and adventures.Very smooth to the touch and meditative to hold for either right or left hand grip.
Inlaid in the woods natural weathered cracks all along the exterior wood and the handcarved grain is some bright blue turquoise stone that stands out very nicely amongst the wood grain for extra character and beauty. Each and every stone, shard and chunk of turquoise has been selectively inlaid by hand one piece at a time.
An organic, environment friendly penetrating oil has been worked into the wood to preserve it for a long and happy life.
Each pipe comes with stainless steel screens, a polishing cloth, pipe cleaners and a velveteen cloth bag for safe keeping!
